Goblins

Homeworld: Booyahga
Galactic Population: Common

Appearance:
Goblins are small, standing only three to four feet tall, with wiry builds and long, pointed ears. Their skin tones range from olive greens to dull greys, often mottled or uneven in shade. Their faces are sharp and expressive, marked by large eyes and quick, toothy grins. Though small, goblins are agile and resilient, moving with restless energy that reflects their survivalist nature.

Overview:
Shaped by the barren and resource starved world of Booyahga, goblins developed strong instincts for survival, often expressed through hoarding, scavenging, and fierce pride in their possessions. Their culture prizes wit, cunning, and mischief – whether through trade, jokes, or barbed insults. They are known equally as scrappy survivors, shrewd merchants, and unpredictable tricksters. With lifespans of around sixty years and litters of five to ten children at a time, goblins sustain large populations across the galaxy.

The majority of goblins live within Starfang Tribe territory, where they occupy the lowest rungs of society. Though technically slaves, their roles vary. Some endure harsh abuse while others live in more stable conditions as servants, workers, or auxiliaries. They are also frequently pressed into service as soldiers, used as expendable military tokens in the Starfang war machine. For many, combat is one of the only recognized paths to personal freedom or limited independence, though it comes at immense cost.

Goblins who live outside Starfang rule face different circumstances. Free goblins often pursue lives as traders, mercenaries, or wanderers, though many still carry the weight of generational trauma. Some fall into the familiar stereotypes of mischief and thievery, while others fight to prove themselves as more than what history has forced them to be. In either case, goblins remain a people defined by resilience, sharp instincts, and a constant struggle between survival and identity.
