Homeworld: Kryden
Galactic Population: Common
Lifespan: Roughly 120 Years
Appearance
Eben are short in stature, standing only around 3 to 4 feet tall, with compact yet wiry builds that belie their constant energy. They possess large, rounded heads paired with two enormous and expressive eyes, which range in color from blues, yellows, and greens, and in rare cases appear almost entirely black. Their skin comes in various shades of green, often subtly mottled or muted rather than vibrant. Despite their small size, Eben are physically capable and enduring, built for long periods of endurance rather than raw strength.
Overview
Eben are a species most notably defined by their extremely communal attitudes and societies. They possess a strong internal pull to be part of a community or some form of greater purpose, which drives them to constant activity – whether through busy work, service, or the pursuit of shared goals. In Eben culture, being alone or without purpose is something to be feared, as identity and self-worth are deeply tied to contribution. Once devoted to a person, group, or cause, Eben are unwaveringly loyal and will often place that devotion above even their own lives.
Because of this, Eben are seen across the galaxy as expert loyalists, companions, and employees, prized for their reliability and dedication. However, this same brash devotion and trusting nature has historically led to their subjugation and exploitation by less scrupulous powers. Eben are naturally reserved and emotionally controlled, rarely expressing extreme emotion unless it is deeply earned or meaningful. While some Eben choose to carve independent paths, most seek to belong within a larger community, purpose, or workforce, where they feel most complete.
