Mandrith is the harsh homeworld of the Khryll, a desert planet dominated by dry, flat expanses of dust, stone and large crystal-like structures and formations. Life is sustained by massive spigots, towering crystalline shoots that pierce the surface and draw water from deep within the planet’s core, creating rare oases across the wasteland. Beyond these isolated lifelines, the land is barren, scoured by relentless winds.
Intense sandstorms sweep Mandrith’s surface with deadly force, driving the Khryll to construct their cities and settlements underground. Beneath the crust lies a sprawling labyrinth of burrows, chambers, and hives, where their civilization thrives. Plant and animal life on Mandrith reflects the same resilience. Almost all species are chitinous, insectoid, and adapted to endure the planet’s punishing sandstorms and scarcity.
