If you’re ready to contribute your ideas, stories, or designs to the Star Wilds, please take a moment to review these submission guidelines. Our goal is to ensure that all contributions maintain the high standards of quality and originality that make the Star Wilds a unique and immersive experience.
What We’re Looking For
At its core, we are looking for high-quality, original content that adds to the depth and richness of the Star Wilds. Your submissions should feel like they belong within the Star Wilds universe while being fresh, creative, and uniquely yours.
Here’s what we mean:
- Original Content
- Submissions should be created by you and originate from your own ideas.
- It’s okay to draw inspiration from other fantasy stories, characters, or tropes, but your submission must be reimagined, adapted, or expanded in a way that feels unique to the Star Wilds.
- Meaningful Contributions
- Your idea should contribute to or build upon the Star Wilds universe in a meaningful way. Whether it’s a piece of lore, a new creature, an NPC, a location, or a story, it should deepen the world and add value to the setting.
- Human Creativity
- Submissions should be genuinely creative and reflect the ingenuity of human ideas.
- While we do allow submissions that make use of AI tools (see our AI Policy for more information), all content must meet our standards for originality and quality.
AI Content Policy
We recognize the potential of AI tools in aiding creativity, and we welcome their responsible use. However, we require that all submissions involving AI follow these ethical guidelines:
- AI-Generated Content Must Be Refined by You
- Whether it’s AI-written text or AI-generated art, your submission must demonstrate meaningful human involvement. AI should be a tool for assisting creativity, not replacing it.
- Content Must Be Polished and Not Obviously AI
- AI-generated text or images should not have obvious markers of AI generation (e.g., repetitive phrasing, generic or incoherent details, or clear visual artifacts in AI art). Submissions that feel rushed, incomplete, or overly reliant on AI will not be accepted.
- AI Use Must Be Ethical
- AI tools should not infringe on intellectual property or plagiarize existing works. The use of AI must align with our commitment to originality and responsible creation.

What’s Not Allowed
To maintain the integrity and originality of the Star Wilds, the following are not permitted:
- Plagiarized or Licensed Content
- Submissions cannot directly copy or pull from other copyrighted or licensed works. It’s okay to be inspired by existing media, but your submission must transform or adapt these ideas into something unique to the Star Wilds.
- Low-Quality Submissions
- Submissions that are incomplete, poorly thought out, or do not meet the standards of The Forge will not be accepted. Take the time to refine and polish your submission before sending it in.
- Inappropriate or Offensive Material
- Content that is offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate will be rejected outright. The Forge is a space for inclusive, collaborative creativity.
Tips for a Strong Submission
To increase the chances of your submission being accepted, keep these tips in mind:
- Be Specific: Provide enough detail to make your submission clear and actionable. For example, instead of saying “a big city with magic,” describe what makes the city unique, its culture, history, or magical elements.
- Tie It to the Star Wilds: Explain how your idea fits into the world. Does it expand on existing lore? Introduce a new theme or setting? Build on a specific location or faction?
- Edit & Polish: Take the time to review your work for clarity, grammar, and overall quality. A polished submission shows effort and pride in your contribution.
- Be Creative: Don’t be afraid to take risks or explore unusual ideas! We love submissions that bring something new and unexpected to the Star Wilds universe.
Submission Process
- Fill Out the Form: Use the submission form on The Forge page to send us your idea. Be as detailed as possible.
- Attach Supporting Materials: If applicable, include concept art, maps, or other materials that help bring your submission to life.
- Wait for Feedback: All submissions are reviewed carefully. If your idea is accepted, we’ll contact you with next steps.
