Description#
The Gobish, often referred to as goblins, hail from their homeworld of Duunfal, where they, like other goblinoid races, were created by the chaotic and brutal deity Vizzak'grul. Like their kin, Gobish are known for their violent and chaotic tendencies, but they stand out for their capacity for reason and cunning. Some of the first "civilized" settlements among the goblinoid races were established by the Gobish, showcasing their unique ability to organize and adapt. Despite their often barbaric roots, Gobish share an innate fascination with material wealth and valuable objects. While their Orkish cousins may raid for the thrill of battle and glory, the Gobish raid to plunder valuables, hoarding their spoils in their growing settlements.
Their high birthrate makes them a prolific species, with colonies of Gobish rapidly appearing and expanding, a common sight across the Star Wilds. These colonies often arise on the fringes of society, where Gobish prefer to carve out their own spaces away from the rigid order of other civilizations. On their homeworld of Duunfal, many Gobish still engage in constant warring and other barbaric traditions, but even in chaos, they display a deadly intelligence, quick wit, and a relentless cunning that make them dangerous adversaries, brilliant scavengers, and resourceful survivors.

They are incredibly diverse in their lifestyles, ranging from fully integrated members of modern societies to barbaric tribal raiders and survivalists. Their adaptability allows them to thrive in a wide variety of environments, whether scavenging on the fringes of civilization or contributing to bustling cities. While many Common Gobish remain devout worshippers of Vizzak'grul, following his brutal and chaotic creed, a significant number turn away from their creator deity, embracing other religions, philosophies, or beliefs. Hobgobish#

Hobgobish are a more rare and fearsome Gobish subrace, distinguished by their red skin, larger stature, and insatiable appetite for battle and chaos. They are infamous across the Star Wilds for their strength and brutality, often serving as deadly raiders and unrelenting warriors. Fiercely loyal to Vizzak'grul, most Hobgobish embrace his doctrine of violence and destruction, proudly fighting, killing, and conquering in his name. Their culture places a strong emphasis on status earned through violence, which fosters a society where aggression and cruelty are seen as virtues. While some Hobgobish show restraint or reject the chaotic norms of their peers, these individuals are exceedingly rare. Even those who are not inherently evil often feel pressured to conform to the violent expectations of their kin, making them appear no less dangerous to outsiders. As a result, the sighting of a Hobgobish is often met with fear and uncertainty, as their reputation for destruction and chaos precedes them. Despite this, their fierce determination and strength make them formidable leaders and warriors, even if their values clash with the more civilized societies of the Star Wilds.
