The Elder Dragons are ancient and colossal beings of immense power, embodying the pinnacle of draconic creation. With a gargantuan form, four mighty legs, massive wings, and four distinct heads, each representing a primal draconic element—Fire, Cold, Lightning, and Acid—the Elder Dragons are the ultimate manifestation of elemental magic. They were among the first spirits gifted form by Mythos during the dawn of creation. From their essence, they shaped the world of Elysia, creating not only the Dragonborn, but also countless other dragons and draconic creatures. Their elemental magic flows through all dragons, and their divine will is the foundation of Dragonborn society.
The Elder Dragons are known for their immense wisdom, justice, and divine guidance over their creations, watching over their kin with both care and judgment. They are revered as gods by dragonkind, seen as both creators and ultimate judges of the Dragonborn. Their gift of sentience to the Dragonborn is said to be a test of character, where a Dragonborn's actions in life determine their fate in death. Only those deemed worthy and loyal are welcomed into the Elder Dragons’ afterlife within its domain in Mythgard. While the Elder Dragons are fair and wise, they are also vengeful and swift to act against those who threaten their creations or dishonor their legacy, ensuring their presence remains a symbol of both hope and fear to all who behold them.
