During the Great Incursion, the forces of Mythgard utilized ancient constructs, now known as Starways, to travel between worlds and combat the demonic forces of Hellgard. After the Incursion, these structures were believed to have been destroyed to prevent further misuse. However, on the human world of Duskara, remnants of one Starway were discovered. Human mages, scientists, and engineers worked tirelessly to decode its secrets, eventually reactivating the ruin and uncovering an ancient artifact known as the Arcanex.
The Arcanex revealed the cosmic coordinates of various worlds, including what are now called the Prime Planets, the ancestral homes of the sentient races. Though the Starway was destroyed during the process, humanity walked away with two major breakthroughs: the partially deciphered Arcanex and the knowledge to build new Starways. This pivotal discovery set humanity on a path toward reconnecting with the wider Star Wilds and exploring its many worlds .
